Horizontal Boilers

These are fire-tube or water-tube boilers (often a hybrid design in this capacity range) that generate steam.

Capacity: 1000 kg/hr to 5000 kg/hr (kilograms of steam per hour). This is a small to medium industrial capacity range.

• Fuel: Biomass (wood chips, agricultural waste, etc.) or Oil (light/heavy fuel oil, diesel).

• Working Pressure: 15 bar (approximately 217.5 psi). This is a common pressure for medium-pressure industrial steam applications, such as those driving turbines or providing process heat.

Hot Water Generators

These are similar units but designed specifically to heat water to a high temperature, typically for heating systems or processes, rather than creating steam.

• Capacity: 600,000 kcal/hr to 3,000,000 kcal/hr

  • Note: 1,000,000 kcal/hr is approximately 3.97 million BTU/hr or 1.16 MW (megawatts).

• Fuel: Biomass or Oil.

• Working Pressure: 15 bar. This pressure is needed to keep the water in a liquid state even at high temperatures (near or above 100 C) and to overcome system resistance in the piping network.
