A centrifugal pump is a mechanical device that moves fluid by converting rotational kinetic energy from a motor or engine into the hydrodynamic energy of the fluid flow.
The working process relies on centrifugal force:
1.Fluid enters the pump's casing near the center of the rotating component, called the impeller (the "eye").
2.The impeller, with its blades or vanes, spins rapidly, accelerating the fluid radially outward.
3.This acceleration converts the kinetic energy into pressure as the fluid leaves the impeller and is contained by the surrounding casing (often a volute or diffuser), from which it then exits the pump.
